Exploring new techniques

I have a love-hate relationship with my McGown certification process. On the one hand, I sometimes feel it dictates what I’m going to work on, and keeps me from pursuing some of my rug hooking interests. On the other hand, it pushes me to try things I might not otherwise try (and that’s a good thing)!

So right now I am finishing up a Crewel for Wide Cut pattern. I don’t quite know why, but this thing was a struggle for me. I can’t tell you how many times I have ripped parts of it out and done them over. However, the end is near and I LIKE IT!!! Yay Yay Yay.
