Written by Kris Miller, this is the best rug hooking book for beginners that I have ever seen. The photographs of hooking technique are excellent. Kris covers rug hooking equipment, wool choices, hooking technique, finishing/binding techniques and much more. The book includes patterns that you can enlarge and are excellent choices for beginning projects.

Experienced rug hookers will also learn from this book.

When students ask me for book recommendations, I tell them that if I could have only one book on rug hooking, this would be the one. (Rug Hookers Bible is a really really close second.)
