This pattern designed by Heidi Grevstad was inspired by the adorable quails that frequent the Okanogan region of British Columbia. It’s a pattern for any ambitious beginner, or a fun quick project for more advanced hookers.

Recommended wools: Sky is hooked with Heidi’s Whites on White Spot Dye. The hills are hooked with Dorr green ombre.

Recommended cut: #4 or #5, with a few #3s for details such as the mouth and outlining.
